What will you be doing?

Providing a professional and timely support service to Enhanced Infrastructure clients. The Job Holder will maintain key Infrastructure support processes and check that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Using management software and tools the Job Holder will be focused on investigating in depth, technical escalations. As a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will be working with end-users, alongside the team and liaising with third parties, as appropriate.

What will an average day look like?

The primary objective of this role will be communicating via the telephone to log, manage and resolve 2^nd and 3^rd line support calls generated from our customer base or projects team. These calls may come directly from answering the phone or from escalation from within the Infrastructure Support team. In addition, you will be expected to log and resolve first line support calls if workloads require it. There will be occasional involvement in internal project work and onsite support visits.

What skills and experience should you have?

The job holder will be the escalation in the team, you will have a minimum of 5 years strong Infrastructure experience, ideally within another IT reseller. You will have been exposed to a large variety of technology but demonstrate an outstanding knowledge of Office 365 administration including exchange online and Azure active directory. You will have worked with physical and virtual servers and have strong demonstrable skills working with server issues such as DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Performance issues etc.

Alongside these key areas, you will have a solid understanding of key networking principles and have experience troubleshooting Firewalls, back up technologies and desktop support.

This role requires somebody who is an excellent problem solver, can communicate at all levels in a business and demonstrates a commercial awareness in the day to day delivery of the role. You will have passion and desire to deliver excellent customer service and a commitment to your own development with certifications such as MS-900 and AZ-900.
