Pegasus newsletter update May 2014

End of Support: Windows XP and Office 2003
Microsoft ceased support for Windows XP SP3 and Office 2003 on 8 April 2014.
As a result, Pegasus is giving notice that they will not support Windows XP or Office 2003 with any Pegasus product after 31st January 2015. They have put a caveat on this statement that if any of the third party tools they use within the software (such as Amyuni driver) requires an update that would render an XP machine inoperable, support would have to cease earlier than scheduled.
Therefore, there will be no new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options or online technical content updates.
The new NICs Employment Allowance allows businesses, charities and community amateur sports clubs to reduce their Employers Class 1 NICs bill by up to £2,000 per year.
This initiative was announced in the March 2013 budget as part of the government’s strategy to encourage economic growth. Employers must claim the allowance using a Yes/No indicator on an Employee Payment Summary. The allowance is then offset against each Employer Class 1 NICs payment due to HMRC until the allowance is full claimed or the tax year ends. Read More.
