Boo charity golf day
Posted on 25 October 2016
A variety of local businesses formed 17 teams and met at the prestigious Ferndown Golf course to play a round of golf, all in the name of charity.
The tournament was dedicated to Boo Charity, a charity set up by Russell Hicks in memory of his late wife, Sarah “Boo” Hicks. Sarah had a lasting wish to help African children who are disadvantaged through economic poverty. This marked the first of many Boo golf days and was organised by Boo trustee Simon White, CEO, Enhanced.
"Ferndown golf course is always a pleasure to play on" says Simon, "but to play and raise money at the same time for Boo was an added bonus.”
Britannia Parking were crowned as the winning team and following the tournament they joined fellow golfers for a meal and charity auction. The whole activity raised over £8,000, all of which will be donated to Boo.
A great day, and one certainly to be repeated in the near future.
