Introducing our Wellbeing room

Published: 23rd January 2020

We are thrilled to introduce our Wellbeing room. Wellness and emotional resilience measures are often misunderstood. Thought of as a firefighting measure; something that is introduced when things go wrong in the company and performance slides. “Prevention rather than cure” has never been more appropriate. Wellbeing should not be about reactive illness management – employers shouldn’t wait until their employees become stressed or ill then seek to cure.

At Enhanced, the health and wellbeing of our people is of utmost importance. We have three core business values, one of which is Supportive: to work collaboratively with no judgement. As a result of a regular employee engagement survey, it was agreed that we needed a more comfortable meeting space. Somewhere our people could have more sensitive conversations and enjoy a more relaxed and informal environment during meetings. A safe space to escape and unwind.

Our Head of Business Support, Laura Elford got to work designing a modern yet cosy space. Somewhere a little more homely with softer furnishings. Useful information leaflets, mental and physical wellbeing books are all available.

It’s refreshing to work for a company who put so much thought into the wellbeing of their employees. The new wellbeing room is excellent, I really enjoy having the option to have a less formal meeting, where the environment inspires creativity because we feel relaxed and at ease.” – Josie Weston, Enhanced Customer Experience Manager

We are constantly reviewing how we can improve our wellbeing support. Plans for this year include facilitating internal workshops run by local health professionals and encouraging physical health by entering the Three Peaks Challenge.
