With over 4,000 security products in stock across multiple sites, Access Key & Lock have been offering a full Locksmith and Security service to the Hampshire and Dorset area for over 14 years, winning ‘Britain’s Best Security Retailer’ award four times along the way.

The challenge

Access Key & Lock had grown through acquisition. This left them with two accounts systems, one ePos and one basic till across four sites. As a result, they had no visibility across the whole business, both in terms of stock control and financial reporting. Access Key & Lock needed a system that could provide full accounting functionality and integrated POS without having to increase staff overheads.

The solution

After a comprehensive consultation and fact find, Enhanced recommended and implemented Access Dimensions and KCPOS. This provided Access Key & Lock with a total, integrated solution. 

The results

Since implementing the system Access Key & Lock continue to grow without the headaches they experienced in the past. Besides acquiring two more businesses, Access Key & Lock have also bought a head office warehouse and added a trade counter. They were able to do this with ease by simply adding the new acquisitions to the same accounts and ePos solution with no additional overhead costs.

The benefits

By adding a trade counter to their warehouse, Access Key & Lock have increased trade business through storing and re-calling quotes given at the counter. This has made it easy for tradesmen to purchase from them.

Access Key & Lock now have a 360 view of stock across their multiple retail outlets and central warehouse. They no longer over stock items and can easily move stock from one location to another. Revenue has therefore increased by being able to fulfil demand.
